What’s been happening:

After spending ten years at the University Park campus, I left with a B.S. in Physics, and a Ph.D in Solid State Science. I spent the next ten years in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, working at the Westinghouse Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, where I met my future wife, Gerry. We got married in 1975. Our daughter Jennifer was born in 1980 and our son in 1983. In 1984 I left Westinghouse and accepted the Technical Director position at the American Welding Society in Miami, Florida. After thirteen years, I left AWS in 1997 and accepted the position of Executive Director of the Standards Engineering Society. I also became the Standards Officer for the International Institute of Welding in 2000 and held both positions until 2009 when I resigned the SES position. In addition, I became a senior auditor for the American National Standards Institute, auditing the standards procedures for numerous American standards developers. Currently, I am slowing down my work activities and am concentrating on my hobbies.
